Privacy Notice

Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection only. To make yours, we need a few personal details, including when and where you were born. This notice explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who helps us, and when we delete it.

The short version

We collect only what we need to make and deliver your reading.
We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
Payments go through Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your card number.
We delete your birth details 90 days after delivery.

What we collect and why

Your name and email address	To deliver your reading by email and to help you if you contact us.
The product you choose (Full natal chart reading or Solar chart)	To make the right reading and match it to your payment.
Your birth date	To calculate your chart.
Your birth time, or "unknown"	To calculate your rising sign and houses. If you don't know it, we make a Solar chart, which doesn't need one. We never guess a birth time.
Where your birth time comes from (for example, a birth certificate or a family memory)	So we know how precise your rising sign and houses can be.
Your birthplace (city, region, country)	To find the exact location and time zone for your chart.
Your optional focus (for example, career or relationships)	To shape your reading around what you asked about. Leave it blank if you like.
Your 18+ confirmation, consent, and acceptance of our Terms	To confirm you're eligible, record your permission for us to use your birth details to make your reading, and record that you agreed to our Terms.
Order and payment records from Stripe (order number, amount, date, payment status)	To match your payment to your order and keep the business and tax records the law requires. We don't receive your full card number.

That's all we ask for. Please don't send us anything else sensitive.

How your reading is made

Your chart is calculated from astronomical data using the birth details you give us. The written interpretation is generated with artificial intelligence, using only your chart's actual placements. It is not written by a human astrologer. Every reading is made with AI and checked against a second astronomical source before delivery.

To write your reading, we send our AI provider your calculated chart and your first name only, never your email address or payment details, and only to generate your reading.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data, and we never share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run Nova Charts, and each one gets only what it needs to do its job:

Stripe, our payment processor, to take your payment on its secure hosted checkout. When you pay, Stripe receives your email, billing address, and order number. We don't send your birth details to Stripe.
Our email provider, to send your reading and reply to your messages.
Our hosting provider, to run our website and order form.
Our AI provider, to write the text of your reading (see above).

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

How we protect it

Your data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on access-restricted servers.
Only the people who run Nova Charts can access it.
Our files are labeled by order number, not by your name or birth date.

How long we keep it

We delete your birth details 90 days after delivery. That includes your birth date, time, time source, birthplace, focus, and chart files. We keep basic order and tax records, without your birth details, for as long as the law requires.

If an order isn't paid within 7 days, we delete its details.

For an unredeemed gift, we delete the recipient's name, email, and gift message when the gift expires.

Your choices

Deleting your data: email support@novacharts.xyz from the address you ordered with and ask us to delete your data. We'll do it promptly and let you know when it's done.

Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track

This site doesn't use analytics, advertising cookies, or third-party trackers, and it doesn't track you across other sites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. Like most websites, our server keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type), and we record the IP address and browser type sent with each order, to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Adults only

Nova Charts is for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A reading of a child's chart must be ordered by the child's parent or guardian. If you think a minor has sent us their details, email us and we'll delete them.

Other people's charts

Please only order a reading for someone else if you have their permission to share their birth details with us.

Gifts

When you buy a reading as a gift, you pay, and we collect your name and email, the recipient's first name, their email if you give it, and your gift message. Please only share these if you have the recipient's permission. We don't collect recipients' phone numbers.

The recipient enters their own birth details through a private link. If they don't know their birth time, a Full chart gift becomes a Solar chart, with no partial refund. No refunds once a reading has been delivered. Birth details entered through a gift link are deleted 90 days after delivery, like any other order.

If something goes wrong

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Arizona law and any other law that applies.

Changes to this notice

If we make a material change, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
